Tea Mistress specializes in the art of Gongfu tea ceremony, which is an ancient art form that originated in China. It encapsulates the cultural desire for a moment of self-reflection, modern ritual, and is a healthy tool to bond with friends and lovers. It is simple to learn, ten lifetimes to master, and a joy to integrate into your daily life

Personalized classes are available upon request. We also offer unique events and workshops, hosted by visiting specialists that we have met on our tea soaked adventures.

Forest Bathing (Shinrin-yoku) and Tea

2 hours

Cost $100 for a private walk or $60pp for a group of 2+ people

Shinrin-yoku or forest bathing was developed in Japan during the 1980s and has become a cornerstone of preventive health care and healing in Japanese medicine. Poets, artists and scholars have lauded drinking tea in nature since antiquity. The combination is nourishing to both the body and mind. We invite you to immerse yourself in nature as we walk into a grove of ancient Cedars, old growth Fir and lush ferns. After a peaceful 30-minute walk we will arrive at a remote ocean cove where we will share organic artisanal tea. The walk is through private land and Ruckle Provincial Park, the trail is quite flat but there are areas where we will need to step over a log or two and be mindful of our step. We will also have the opportunity to stop at a micro tea farm.
